Statement
Accessibility
Kestrel Vets aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. This is a demonstration app, so the statement is a template to adapt for a live practice.
What we checked
- Colour contrast
Body text at 4.5:1 or better and large text at 3:1 or better, in both light and dark themes.
- Keyboard
Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard. Sheets keep focus inside and close with Escape. A skip link jumps to the content.
- Touch targets
Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Motion
Animation is small. It stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Structure and labels
One main heading per page, labelled fields with errors next to the field, and live announcements for bookings, alerts and plan changes.
- Charts
The weight chart has a text description and a table of the same figures.
Known gaps
- Not yet tested with people
We have not run this with screen reader users or other assistive technology groups.
- The map is a drawing
It has a text description but offers no navigation. Use the phone numbers for directions.
- Fonts load from the internet
Offline, the app falls back to your device's own fonts.
